Men in the Sokol family have been in the fishing tool industry since 1953, and have worked consistently to set the industry standard when it comes to quality and performance. Everything from showing up on location on-time, dress, and how to keep a proper tally book, and the proper execution of countless fishing tool scenarios and on the job situations, have been trained and engrained into the corporate cultures surrounding Brian and his team.
The first FTI was called "Fishing Tools Incorporated," headquartered out of Harvey, Louisiana. Starting with FTI in 1982 Brian became a principle in a group of 3 executives that took FTI private in 1987. They operated the company successfully until the sale of the company in 1998.
Brian went on to start Knight Fishing Services in 1999, at the request of the late Eddy Knight. With starting capital of only $1 million USD, and the blessing of Mr. Eddy, he was able to grow the operation on cash flow to nearly $80 million in annual revenue in 7 years with 30% margins.
Brian brings an extraordinary amount of expertise to the table in all areas of fishing, from the shop floor to what it truly takes to make a fishing tool operation profitable having managed through the crash in the 80s and the industry ups and downs in the years since.
Over decades, he has cultivated relationships in all the right areas that can get any job done properly and efficiently. Today Brian is still very active in on site supervision and his passion for the fishing tool business has never been stronger. Whether you need corporate consulting on how to make your fishing tool operation more successful, or whether you need experience in the field, we at Fishing Tool Innovations can help you succeed where you need it, and fast!
